With more than four decades of experience in accounting and tax management, Aaron Zimmer oversees the preparation of tax returns for Singer Burke Zimmer & Kogan clients and also takes the lead in handling tax audits and tax planning for clients. A firm believer in the value of expert advice, Aaron loves finding creative solutions to clients’ perplexing tax issues. He enjoys working as part of a coordinated team to create tax plans for clients and finding ways for them to minimize their tax burdens. While he knows that most clients don’t get the same joy and fulfillment he does in addressing tax issues, he thoroughly enjoys the satisfaction clients experience when complex tax issues are skillfully handled.
Before joining Singer Burke in 1994, Aaron worked in the tax department of Arthur Young & Company and was the tax partner at a mid-sized CPA firm. Later, he spent several years practicing tax law with an Encino-based law firm. He earned a bachelor of science in economics from UCLA and a J.D. from the University of San Fernando School of Law.
Aaron and his wife have four adult children and six grandchildren. He enjoys traveling to destinations like Italy, Israel and Cancún, and has been an active leader in a number of community organizations, including serving as the chairman for El Caballero’s United Jewish Fund of Los Angeles’ annual golf tournament, as well as the organization’s citywide Super Sunday phone-a-thon. In addition, he has been the chairman for the Swing Against Cancer golf tournament for USC Norris Hospital.
