The CNBC editorial team has released its second annual list of the Top 100 Fee-Only Wealth Management Firms in America, and SB Capital Management was again on the list—moving up from No. 64 in 2014 to No. 6 in 2015.
SB Capital remained the highest ranked firm from Los Angeles, and was the only California based firm in the top ten.
SB Capital Management was evaluated, along with the other companies, on the following factors:
- Assets under management
- Having staff with professional designations such as CFP® or CFA®
- Working with third-party professionals such as attorneys or CPAs
- Average account size
- Growth of assets
- Years in business
- Number of advisory clients
- Providing advice on insurance solutions
To be considered for the list, an advisory firm could not have any complaints, actions or disclosures from any of the four primary regulators—SEC, FINRA, state regulators and state insurance commissioners.
