We are searching for detail-oriented and success-driven Senior Tax Reviewer to become an integral part of our team. A successful candidate will utilize his or her educational background, work experience, communication, and organizational skills in analyzing clients’ books, preparing and reviewing tax returns, and conducting tax research. Duties and Responsibilities:
- Answers client questions and provides advice
- Assist with federal and state tax audits
- Keeps track of deadlines and deliverables for multiple clients
- Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance
- Organizes financial records for clients
- Perform tax research, staying up to date on changes
- Prepares tax returns and documentation for clients
- Respond to inquiries from regulatory agencies
- Review returns prepared by junior accountants
- Stays up to date on all federal, state, and local tax laws
- Performs other duties as assigned
Qualification Requirements:
- CPA license, juris doctorate or master’s degree in Tax
- 5+ years of management/supervisory experience
- 5+ years of experience in preparation and/or review of income tax returns
- Prior public accounting work experience in a CPA firm or business management firm
- Proficiency with CCH Access Tax
- Proficiency with BNA income tax planner and QuickBooks
- Experience and proficiency with Datafaction/AgilLink accounting software is a plus
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suites (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.…)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent organizational skills with a bias towards efficiency
- Excellent time management, judgement, poise, and professionalism
